Long pepper (once the premier pepper of the Roman empire) joins mace and other floral spices like lavender, creating a flavor as exotic as the island it pays tribute to. A wonderful addition to oatmeal, ceviche, and seafood-based soups.
- Ingredients: long pepper, lemon, mace and spices
- 1.75 oz by weight
For a unique granita, combine 2 cups of lemonade with 2 tbsp. cachaça and 2 tsp. Borneo and freeze in a metal baking pan; stir occasionally with a fork until frozen and slushy.
