I've tried to replicate it with the Hawayej spice mix. Can't do it and not bothered by that in the least. It's awesome and worth the time saved to buy the mix. Would love to see some other mixes for rice or other grains as well!

United StatesThe amount of spice to rice ratio is perfect and to die for and was a good amount for leftovers the next day for just the two of us. The flavors popped and was great with salmon the first day and Mexican beef barbicoa the next. Definitely on the list of things to keep in the pantry and to buy for stocking stuffers and gift baskets with Christmas coming. Can't wait to try it with chicken, maybe mix it in like a biriani......Love this.
