This Yemenite-inspired blend, sometimes also called hawaij, is traditionally used for soup and made with aromatic turmeric, cumin, and black pepper. Both pungent and savory, Hawayej is wonderful in stews and perfect for elevating roasted vegetables.

Add to cooked butternut squash and blend with a bit of olive oil for a flavorful puree.
