About the Concept

La Boîte à Biscuits by Lior Lev Sercarz brings a new concept to life by combining

the art of the palate with a vision that warms up the soul.  

It creates a seasonal selection of biscuits inspired by the time of the year,

cultural events, personal reflections and a very special ingredient: Art.

About the artist


Margaret Braun, a New York based artist and author of Cakewalk (Rizzoli 2001) is known for her pioneering work in the sugar arts. Drawing from a glossary of codified decorative motifs, and the classical forms, she knows so intimately, her current work in ceramics embodies the practice of a seasoned kitchen worker with a confectioners' hand. Her production process replicates these motifs and with subtle changes in gesture and line, she brings them to life, encouraging interaction and conversation which frees them from their static and obedient confines. Braun's work explores how individuality can thrive when set against sameness.
